Cafe Punta del Cielo
http://www.puntadelcielo.com.mx/
I just figured out what this coffee is a friend bought for me in Barra. The lettering was worn off the package. Supposed to be the Starbucks of Mexico ... but I think he paid $18us a kilo. Very good but not that good. Would be nice to find a more reasonable outlet
Anyone know if this coffee can be bought in other places than their stores ... at somewhat resonable prices
I hear the beans are from Veracuz and Chiapas but no idea where thery are processed _________________ My Mexico Page

Sparks - cool web site for Cafe Punta del Cielo - and it has a familiar ring (our own Rancho del Cielo)
Of course there is a lot of coffee here in the Coatepec area. I often say we live in the tri-cities (Xalapa-Coatepec-Xico) - mainly because we do.
Coatepec I believe is the largest coffee producer in Mexico. Currently it is coffee berry harvesting season around these parts.
I enjoyed your picture tour of a coffee finca on your web site http://sparksmex.blogspot.com/
Good to see you more active on your site.
Thanks for the link

Thanks Juan ..... Just busy with other projects, staying warm, inundated with visitors from up north. Beach vacations you know !!
Actually have a backlog of subjects such as; keeping Canadians on the sidewalks, folding all those plastic bags like the flag, why my old girlfriends kids didn't like the way I cut the 'pepinos', will all the gringos leave before the deluge of Mexicans on the 15th of next month and trying to trace down the sewer system in this town.
I'll keep after it. Never thought I'd be spread so thin in my retirement _________________ My Mexico Page

Sparks,
Your mention of "flag style" flolding of plastic bags (for reuse) interested me. Mexican friends of ours in the DF area folded theirs in the same manner. They're very busy people so I found it interesting that they'd take the time to do that.
Then it dawned on me that the neatly folded plastic bags seem to occupy a lot less space than the "bunched up" ones did.
Do you think that this is a regional thing?

The 'folding like a flag' thing must be fairly universal... the previous tenant in our rented apartment in Chapala had folded her bags just that way. I thought it was rather ingenious. Lizzy _________________ PHOTO GALLERY

OMG!!! On the bag folding. I've lived in 200 sq ft for the last 6.5 years and I suppose if I'd seen that when I started I might have done it but now... I can not bear the idea of spending time on that. _________________ Jonna
