Hiya Amigos, Ania and I are in Puerto Vallarta fixing up our little 2BR house we just bought. We placed an ad on craigslist-mexico to offer it to snow birds at $500/month incl. all utilities. Problem is, it is 2.5 miles away from the beach, so it isn't a "typical tourist location" We have no idea if their is a market for this niche, but we'll see!

Got a view of the ocean? From 2.5 miles, in that hilly area, it should be possible...and that would make a big difference to Gringo tourists who are used to paying more for RE if it even has a view of the water, never mind being literally "waterfront" per se.

No, Rick, it is in a flat area just north of PV airport, so no view. But the dome that I am beginning to build in Penita, (50 minutes north of PV) does have a great sea-view, and is 1000 meters from the ocean.
